Why is My Weber Genesis II GS4 Grill Igniter Not Working?
September 07, 2024- Loose or damaged wires: Check that all igniter wires are connected properly and not damaged.
- Dead or incorrectly installed battery: Make sure the battery is new and installed correctly.
- Failed igniter module: If the igniter doesn't click when the button is pressed, the module might have failed.
- Dirty burner tubes: Burner tubes near the igniter electrodes can make it difficult to light the grill if they are dirty.
- Buildup on igniter electrodes: Rust or dirt on the igniter electrodes can make it hard to ignite the grill.
- Poorly connected propane tank: The propane tank needs to be properly connected to the grill for it to ignite.
- Humidity or rain: High humidity or rain can interfere with the igniter's ability to create a spark.
If these steps don't work, you may need to replace the ignitor.

How do I determine whether my grill is Weber Genesis II 310, 330, 340, or other?
You can check the white model label on the grill body (back, side, in the cart, on the right vertical part of the tank blocker, on the backside of the cradle).
You can also compare the grills below with your grill. Compare the differences carefully.
