Troubleshooting Low Heat or Weak Flame on Weber Q Series Gas Grills

Low heat or weak flame on your Weber Q Series gas grill? We've got you covered! Learn common causes and troubleshooting tips in our blog post.

1. Check the Gas Supply

First, check the gas supply. Ensure the propane tank is not empty or nearly empty. Replace with a full tank if necessary. Also, inspect the gas hose for kinks or blockages. Straighten and ensure it is not twisted or bent.

2. Adjust the Regulator

The regulator is responsible for controlling the flow of gas from the propane tank to the burners. If the regulator is not properly adjusted, it can result in low heat or a weak flame. To adjust the regulator, turn off the gas supply and disconnect the propane tank. Open the grill lid and turn all the burner knobs to the off position. Slowly turn on the gas supply and then turn on one burner to the high position. If the flame is still weak, repeat the process, gradually turning the burner knobs to the high position until the flame is at the desired level.

3. Check for Leaks

To check for gas leaks, mix equal parts water and dish soap. Apply the solution to the gas hose, connections, and regulator. Observe for bubbles forming. If bubbles appear, there is a leak.
