Here are the tips to deep clean a Pit Boss pellet grill:

  • Turn off and unplug the grill. Let it to cool down completely before cleaning.

  • Clean The Lid, Depending on how old your grill is, the inside of the lid may have some build up on it. Use the putty knife to remove any buildup that has accrued on the lid.

  • Remove the grates and grease tray from the grill. Use a grill brush, sponge or scraper to remove any excess grease or debris.

  • Clean the grates and grease pan with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely. If you let the grill grates soak in soapy water overnight, it will be easier to clean them the next day. It's best to clean the grease tray while the grill is still warm.   • Cleaning or Replacing the Grease Bucket. Remove the aluminum liner and wipe down the bucket with soapy water. Dry the bucket and put in a clean liner. Liners make it so easy to keep the bucket free of grease.

  • Use a grill cleaner or degreaser to clean the interior and exterior of the grill, and use a soft-bristled brush to scrub the surfaces.

  • Rinse the interior and exterior of the grill thoroughly with a hose or a bucket of water.

  • Dry the grill and its components thoroughly with a clean towel or let them air dry.

  • Reassemble the grill components and plug it back in.
