Common Trouble with Your Electric Fireplace and Solutions

If your fireplace isn't working the way you expect it to, there are several quick fixes you can do yourself:

Power supply problems: Check if the electric fireplace is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Please make sure that the circuit breaker is not tripped.

Remote control: Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary.

Overheating protection: Please let the fireplace cool down before trying to use it again. You can try to turn off the electric fireplace for at least five minutes. Electric fireplace timer is broken

For most electric fireplaces, you need to calibrate the timer on the controller before setting the timer function. After calibrating the time on the controller, you will usually hear a beep to confirm that the function has been successful. Your timer should be working now. Electric fireplace automatically closes and an error message appears.

This is usually caused by the temperature drop in the room. In some electric fireplaces, if the temperature changes to 10°C or more within three minutes, the heater will turn off. This is because the device assumes that there is an open window nearby, or you deliberately try to lower the temperature of the room. In order to save you money on unnecessary energy, your electric fireplace heater may be automatically switched to low-heat mode or turned off completely. In order to prevent this from happening, please be alert to the sudden drop in temperature around the electric fireplace. If you turn off the electric fireplace for five minutes and then turn it back on, it should have been reset and can be used again.

Electric fireplace can't heat up.

Check whether the vents, air inlets and air outlets are blocked. A blocked entrance will prevent air from circulating through the heating element and provide warm air for your room. A blocked air outlet will prevent warm air from entering your room. Make sure that the two vents are clear. As time goes on, these passages are blocked by dust and debris. If you have pets or often open the windows at home, they will block up faster.

The second possible reason is that there is something wrong with the thermostat of the electric fireplace. Make sure that the thermostat is set at a temperature higher than the current room temperature, otherwise the fireplace heater will not turn on and emit any heat. An electric fireplace thermostat helps to keep your room at a constant set temperature. The fireplace heater will automatically adjust the heat output to keep the room at this temperature.

Electric fireplace doesn't light or the flame effect doesn't work.

Please check whether all dials, buttons and controls of flame brightness are turned on. Check your manual for information about these settings. If all the settings are correct, the problem may be related to the lighting components in the fireplace.
